The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (Urdu: وفاقی جامعہ اردو ); alternatively known equally FUUAST) is a public university primarily located at Islamabad, Islamic republic of pakistan.[3] The university has 2 satellite campuses; the central campus is located in Islamabad while the secondary campus is located in Karachi.[4] The authoritative and degree awarding units of the university are currently based in Karachi, which also acts every bit the university's nowadays headquarters. The university offers broad range of academic programs in undergraduate and post-graduate. Urdu College was offset established by Baba-eastward-Urdu Maulvi Abdul Haq in 1949.[4] So this college was given the status of a University on 13 November 2002 past presidential guild and is the offset academy in Pakistan to teach primarily in the Urdu language. Information technology was established by merging the Federal Urdu Arts Higher and the Federal Urdu Science College, both in Karachi. President Pervez Musharraf was the university's beginning chancellor. President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Qayyum are the chancellor and vice-chancellor of the university respectively.[4] [2]

The Federal Urdu Academy comprises iii campuses and a number of departments:
- Abdul Haq Campus at Baba-eastward-Urdu Road, Karachi (previously known every bit Federal Urdu Arts College)[four]
- Gulshan Campus at the University Road, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi (previously known equally Federal Urdu Science College)[4]
- Islamabad Campus, Kuri Model Village, Mozah Mohrian, 5B, Near Bahria Enclave Route, Islamabad (established in 2003 near Zero Indicate, Islamabad. Later moved on to Kuri Model Hamlet)
Location of Abdul Haq Campus and Gulshan Campus within Karachi.
Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui was appointed as the commencement Vice Chancellor of Federal Urdu University in 2002.[7]
